Rose on a Benny

So this cocktail was created purely due to the place I worked having GALLONS of Benedictine when I started.

Recipe

  • 1.5 Oz Gin
  • 0.5 Oz Benedictine
  • 1 Oz Demerara Syrup
  • 1 Oz Lemon juice
  • 0.5 Oz Rose Wine

Combine all ingredients including the Rose, as long as yours isn’t sparkling, into a shaker along with ice. Shake the drink and then serve it up (without ice). A lemon twist in addition as garnish.

This cocktail is simple and beautifully herbal. The demerara syrup is a personal taste of mine that can totally be substituted for a simple syrup made with brown sugar for any home bartenders. Demerara is true brown sugar that was first produced in Guyana originally with a hard to explain flavor that almost taste more hearty then typical brown sugar.
