1.5 Oz (45 ML) Rye Whiskey
0.75 Oz (22 ML) Dry Vermouth
0.75 Oz (22 ML) Pineapple Juice
Shake all three ingredients, double strain into a coupe, and then garnish with a pineapple wedge and/or Maraschino cherry.
The drinks origin is thought to be around 1935. Most likely it was made at the Algonquin hotel in Midtown Manhattan after prohibition lifted.
